Baptist Club Get Fit: May 27-July 29
Club Get Fit is Baptist Memorial Health Care's new family-based weight management program that will teach both parents and kids how to make healthy lifestyle choices. Club Get Fit is a 10-week program for kids in grades 1-5 and their parents. It is free and open to the public, but families must reside in Tennessee. The program will take place every Tuesday from May 27 to July 29 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Collierville YMCA. Call 757-3428 to register.
Heart Smart Sisters Kick Off Event: July 22
Join United Healthcare Community Plan and Healthy Kids and Teens for Heart Smart Sisters Kick Off Event on Tuesday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Douglas Community Center located at 1616 Ash Street Memphis, TN 38108. This empowering 12 week program will help women reduce their risk for heart disease. Guest speakers are Dr. Ken Robinson, public health policy advisor and CTHA CEO Renee' Frazier.
Parenting with Hope: August 11
The Church Health Center has developed Parenting with Hope to provide parents a spiritual and faith-filled foundation for how to care for and teach their children. This workshop equips individuals to teach this series to a group. If you are interested in challenging and supporting parents, then join us to learn how to share a faith-based approach to parenting. The workshop will take place in Community Room A & B at Church Health Center Wellness located at 1115 Union Ave. It is free and open to the community. Bring It, Cook It, Taking It Cooking Classes: July 10-Aug. 14
Join Church Health Center Wellness and Bring It Food Hub at 5:30 p.m. each Thursday from July 10 through Bring It, Cook It, Take It Cooking Class at 1115 Union Ave. This class includes cooking demonstrations using fresh produce, tastings, and recipes. You'll even get to take home a bag of produce! Cost is $5.
With Hope in Mind Classes: July 16-Sept. 3

The Way, A Service of Recovery: Ongoing
Award-winning musician Rev. John Kilzer hosts The Way, a service of recovery, at 6 p.m. every Friday at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 1207 Peabody Ave. The Way focuses on recovery, encouragement and hope. Music will be a key component of the service with many local musicians stopping by to perform. The service, which is a joint ministry of Methodist Healthcare, St. John’s and the Church Health Center is free and open to the public.
